Long Beach, NY - April 11, 2014 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 5:50 AM in Long Beach.
According to detectives, a 60 year old male was driving a 1988 Chevrolet Corvette westbound on Park Avenue when he struck Sean McCarthy, 50 of Long Beach. The victim who was walking north to south on Maple Boulevard suffered serious head injuries and was transported to South Nassau Communities Hospital where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff at 8:57 AM. The vehicle was impounded for a brake safety test.
There is no criminality.
