Two Women Charged with Prostitution in Long Island Massage Parlor Raids

Two women have been charged with prostitution following separate raids at two Long Island massage parlors after community complaints and investigations by authorities.

Two massage parlors in Long Island have been the target of separate raids resulting in two women being charged with prostitution.

The first raid was conducted on April 11, 3:15 p.m. at an unnamed spa located at 10 Medical Drive, Suite D in Port Jefferson Station following community complaints. Shidi Zhang, 37, of Flushing, Queens, was arrested and charged with a felony of unauthorized practice of a profession.

The second raid happened around 3:30 p.m. on the same day at Lucky 8 Foot Spa located at 704 Walt Whitman Road in Melville, in response to community and quality of life complaints. Rui Liu, 44, of Flushing, Queens, was arrested and charged with two counts of prostitution, two counts of second-degree unauthorized practice of a profession, and criminal nuisance.

Both women were released on desk appearance tickets and will appear at First District Court in Central Islip on later dates. The raids were conducted by the Suffolk County Police and officials from the respective towns.
