Hit-and-Run Driver on the Loose: Police Seek Public's Help in Identifying Suspect Who Struck Pedestrian in West Islip

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver who struck a pedestrian and fled the scene in West Islip in March. 
 
The driver of a blue Dodge Ram pickup truck struck a female pedestrian on the corner of Ruth Street and Kane Street on March 20 at approximately 7:20 a.m. The driver fled the scene and was last seen traveling westbound on Sunrise Service Road. The victim, 50, of East Islip, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. 
 
Investigators believe the vehicle may have passenger side rearview mirror damage and a New Jersey license plate.
