Middle Island, NY - April 14th, 2016 - A 30 year old Bay Shore man pleaded not guilty today at his arraignment on a charge of murder alleging he shot 26-year-old Alexander P. Incorvia to death behind a shuttered K-Mart store in Middle Island, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.
Defendant Michael K. Dirkschneider of Diamond Street is charged with murder in the first degree, murder in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.
Suffolk County police recovered a .45 caliber handgun, believed to be the murder weapon, from Dirkschneider’s dresser on April 2 and arrested him on a weapons charge. A grand jury indicted Dirkschneider for the homicide last Friday, District Attorney Spota said.
Incorvia’s body was found by a woman walking her dog in the wooded area behind the vacant store on April 2. The victim was shot multiple times.
