Hewlett, NY - April 14th, 2016 - The Major Case Bureau is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 9:27 p.m. in Hewlett.
According to Robbery Squad detectives, a male black subject entered the Carvel located at 1344 Peninsula Boulevard, displayed a large knife, went behind counter and demanded the employee open the register.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of US currency, the subject left the store and was last seen westbound towards Mill Road. There were two employees and no customers inside the store at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
The subject is described as 6’ tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, ski mask, black gloves and dark round sunglasses.
