AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. First Squad detectives report the arrest of Serge Delaleu, 43, of 129 Forest Avenue, Roosevelt in connection with the above incident.

Correction - April 15, 2014 - The below defendant is not being charged with the below crime. He is being charged with Criminal Mischief that occurred on April 12, 2014 at the same location.

Update - April 15th, 2014 - First Squad detectives report the arrest of Serge Delaleu, 43, of 129 Forest Avenue, Roosevelt in connection with the below incident.

A subsequent investigation by detectives, along with the public’s assistance led to the arrest of Delaleu at his home at 6:22 pm without further incident.

He is charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, two (2) counts of Making Graffiti and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. Delaleu will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 04/15/2014.

Roosevelt, NY - April 14th, 2014 - The First Squad reports the details of a Criminal Mischief that occurred in Roosevelt at 11:00 am on Monday, April 14, 2014.

According to detectives, an unknown person(s) did use black spray paint to write in large letters a racially bias statement on the side of the Western Beef located at 332 Nassau Road.

Detectives request that anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
