Riverhead, NY – April, 16, 2015 - Bob and Dianne Castaldi, owners of the historic Suffolk Theater in Riverhead, New York will be receiving with the New York State Historic Preservation Award. This award is being presented by Commissioner Rose Harvey of The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and is in recognition of Bob and Dianne Castaldi’s restoration of the 1933 theater.
Established in 1980, the State Historic Preservation Awards are given each year to honor excellence in the protection and rejuvenation of New York's historic and cultural resources.
"The historic preservation awards recognize the efforts and achievements of individuals, organizations, and municipalities that make significant contributions to historic preservation efforts across the state," State Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey said. "This year's awards demonstrate the outstanding commitments, hard work, and strong partnerships that have made preservation an important tool for community renewal, economic development, and job growth in New York State."
The award presentation will happen at 10AM on Friday, May 1st at the Suffolk Theater, located at 118 East Main Street in Riverhead, NY. There will be light refreshments available.
