A new restaurant opened up in Smithtown in the Terry Road Shopping Center and reviewers have been praising it as a place to go get authentic, delicious Turkish food.

Lezzet Mediterranean excels at lahmacun and pide, something many reviewers have pointed out. The flatbread meals (sometimes described as pizza-like) are topped with lamb or other meats, cheese and vegetables.

On Google, Turk Men gave them five stars.

“As a Turkish person it was hard to find Turkish restaurants around where we live but even though it’s a little bit smaller than other restaurants their taste is high quality,” they wrote. “I loved eating lahmacun and pide.”

Muhammed Colak agreed.

“Best Turkish food on The Island,” he wrote. “Highly recommended [sic] the Mix pide and Lahmacun.”
