Taking over the spot that used to be Everest Himalayan Cuisine, a new Brazilian barbecue restaurant opened up recently in Bellmore called Manolo's Churrasqueira.

More casual than say, Fogo de Chão, you can still get a wide selection of grilled meats on the menu. Reviewers are giving it a mom and pop kind of feel.

Appetizers feature bacon wrapped shrimp in hot sauce ($16), baby octopus in garlic, roasted peppers and online ($17) and codfish cake fritter ($13). The grill has seafood specials like grilled lobster ($40), branzino (32) and grilled octopus ($32). On land, the meats menu includes a whole barbecued chicken ($32), beef ribs ($36), pork chops ($26) and a surf and turf ($42).

On Yelp, Chris C, from Queens, gave them five stars.

“So a brand new Portuguese Restaurant opened up in Bellmore and it's incredibly good,” he wrote. “I felt the need to share it with all of you! They have dine-in service as well as take-out and is the perfect place for both lunch & dinner.”

On Google, Lisa M also praised the new Brazilian barbecue.

“All I have to say is WOW,” she wrote. “This place is ridiculously delicious and fresh. I enjoyed everything that I ordered. My family and I ordered the bbq whole chicken, it’s nicely charred and seasoned to perfection… Highly recommend this place.”
