Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman is pleased to announce that the 2022 Nassau County Summer Recreation Program is open for registration. This year’s five-week program has been expanded to three locations and will provide a fun, safe, activity-filled summer camp experience for Nassau County residents ages 5 to 12 at a reasonable cost.
The Summer Recreation Program, administrated by Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums, will run from June 27 to August 4, 2022, at Cantiague Park in Hicksville, Nickerson Beach Park in Lido Beach, and Wantagh Park. The program day runs from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Camper activities include 45 minutes per day of open pool swimming, arts & crafts, tennis, basketball, volleyball, golf and field sports such as soccer, flag football and baseball.

Blakeman “Our beautiful parks provide the perfect setting for kids to enjoy a range of activities from swimming, to recreational sports, and arts and crafts” He continued.
With a focus on safety before fun, the Nassau County Summer Recreation Program is licensed by the Nassau County Department of Health and all employees are fingerprinted and screened by the Nassau County Police Department.
The cost is $1,200 per child, with a sibling discount of $50 off for additional child(ren) in the same family. The registration deadline is May 26th.
