Legislator Drucker, Plainview-Old Bethpage Library Host Successful Community Blood Drive

Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) in partnership with Plainview-Old Bethpage Library held a community blood drive on Saturday, April 15 in support of the New York Blood Center. Over 40 residents rolled up their sleeves to donate a total of 45 pints of blood which could help save the lives of 135 patients in local hospitals.
 
As a token of appreciation, donors received a pair of free New York Mets tickets for supporting the blood drive. 
 
“As we continue to replenish regional blood supply, every donation is especially important to meeting the life-saving mission of the New York Blood Center,” Legislator Drucker said. “Thank you to the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library and all of the volunteers who worked so hard to make this blood drive a success!”
