AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING An Air Quality Health Advisory remains in effect for the following counties: Nassau and Suffolk. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of ground level ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Vanessa Lugo, 15, is reported missing. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 516-573-7347 or call 911.

Hempstead, NY - April 21, 2016 - The Missing Persons Squad is investigating a Missing Juvenile that occurred on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm.

According to detectives, Vanessa Lugo, 15 years of age was last seen leaving her residence in Hempstead. Vanessa Lugo is described as being female, Hispanic, 5’6” tall, 100 Lbs., black hair, brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants, light blue T- shirt 9 school uniform).

Detectives request that anyone with information regarding the above missing juvenile to contact the Nassau County Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
