This forecast considered meteorological, fuel, and land conditions, and has been developed in coordination with NY, NJ, and CT fire and land management officials.

The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a Long Beach man for an incident that occurred on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 9:30 p.m. in Oceanside.  
 
According to Detectives, Officers responded to Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital, located at 1 One Healthy Way for a report of an Assault on a registered nurse (RN). Defendant Omid Zar, 53, of 274 W. Broadway became violent with hospital staff by striking a nurse multiple times in the abdomen causing substantial pain. Defendant Zar was placed under arrest without further incident.
 
Defendant Omid Zar is charged with Assault 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, April 22, 2024 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
