The Art League of Long Island proudly presents Infinite Quest, a captivating solo exhibition by acclaimed painter Dave Peikon. This collection, representing nearly 30 years of unwavering dedication and over 70,000 hours of painting, showcases Peikon’s relentless pursuit of excellence in realism.
Reflecting on his journey as a largely self-taught artist, Peikon shares:
“Was I, am I crazy to devote my life to mastering a craft (in my case, painting) because of an obsession/passion that has been with me ALL my life? It is all I have ever wanted to do—to spend my days at the easel creating the world I would rather live in, where serenity, peace, and a deep reverence for nature are the muses that drive me. Acquiring the skill set to accomplish this goal has been a lifelong quest for me as a predominantly self-taught painter. Forever learning by constantly challenging my skillset is the goal, always trying to better my best across every genre of realism. Now in my 29th year painting full time, with over 70,000 hours at the easel, I present my 25th solo, a compendium of what I have learned thus far.” – Dave Peikon
Running from April 26, 2025 – May 10, 2025, this exhibition invites art lovers to experience Peikon’s artistic evolution, where tranquility and nature take center stage.
As part of the Art League’s 70th Anniversary Celebration, a Gala Reception will take place on May 3, 2025, at 5:30 PM. The event will feature exquisite cuisine from Pierre Schaedelin—Martha Stewart’s personal chef and former Executive Chef of Le Cirque—along with fine wines and elegant passed hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds from gala ticket sales will directly support the Art League’s mission to nurture artistic expression and education.
Attendees will also receive a commemorative journal marking this milestone, filled with highlights from the League’s history and artwork from its talented community. The journal offers a special opportunity for businesses and artists to advertise and share their support for the arts.
