NCPD Reports Four in Custody in Connection with New Cassel Box Cutter Assault
New Cassel, NY - April 24, 2018 - Third Squad detectives report the details of an Assault that occurred on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 6:44 p.m. in New Cassel.
According to detectives, five (5) subjects attacked a male victim at 817 Prospect Ave. The victim sustained facial injuries from a box cutter. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the following four (4) subjects:
- Ademola Olatunji-Bostick, male, 22, of Bay Shore.
- Francisco Mateo, male, 22, of Roosevelt.
- Leroy Flowers, male, 22, of Freeport.
- Rakim King, male, 24, of Westbury.
All of the defendants are charged with Assault 2nd degree. Defendant Flowers is also charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th degree.
The fifth subject is described as a male Hispanic, 5’9” tall and 160 lbs. He has dark hair and was wearing a blue sweat suit. He fled northbound on foot on Sherman St. Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
The defendants were arraigned on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
