A Chinese pancake restaurant opened up recently in Sea Cliff and by the sound of the online reviewers, it’s going to be a huge hit.
A Chinese pancake is a thin, light pastry with a number of different ingredients inside. Think of the pancakes you get with a Moo Shu Pork order at your typical Chinese takeout place.
But these are much different. Light and crispy filled with good stuff. And, according to reviewers, No 1 Pancake is authentic.
At No 1 Pancake, they have chicken ($9.50), duck ($15.50), ham ($10.50), veggie salad ($10.50), and a number of other options.
The owner also owns Zouji Dumpling House in Glen Cove at 188 Glen Cove Avenue.

On Yelp, Nicole M, from Westbury, gave them five stars.
“I got the pork pancake combo (came with spicy fries with ketchup, and a soda),” she said. “It was absolutely delicious and the packaging was too cute! This is now one of my favorite food spots.”
Paul H also loved it.
“It took them a few minutes to make because it's made fresh,” he wrote. “It was a lot of food! The pancake was cut in half and served in two pieces, each wrapped in fancy yellow paper. The fries were crispy and plentiful.”
