Nassau County Legislators Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) joined with the leaders of the Freeport Fire Department and their colleagues in government at the Hilton Long Island in Melville on Sunday, April 21 for their 132nd annual installation dinner.

“By stepping up as volunteers, the men and women of the Freeport Fire Department are continuing a storied tradition of selfless service, and it is important to recognize their commendable and crucial role in protecting our communities,” Legislator Mulé said. “It was my pleasure to congratulate the Department’s newest chief and wish them all the best as they embark upon their new roles.”

“The spirit of volunteerism that sustains the Freeport Fire Department and all of Nassau County’s volunteer fire service agencies is something we all take tremendous pride in,” Legislator Koslow said. “We thank the new chief of the department for stepping up and extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every volunteer for their willingness to rush toward danger to save lives at a moment’s notice.”
