Garden City, NY - April 25, 2015 - The Garden City Police Department reports the details of an arrest for Driving While Intoxicated which occurred on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2:30 P.M. in Garden City.

According to police, Laura Catell, 42, of Garden City, was travelling eastbound on 6th Avenue when she was in a collision with another vehicle in the vicinity of Cathedral Avenue.  Catell had her 7 year old daughter in the car with her at the time of the accident.  After an investigation she was placed under arrest without incident.  No injuries were reported.  The child was picked up at the scene by a family member.

The defendant is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated (BAC +.08), Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (BAC +.18), Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.  She will be arraigned on Sunday, April 25, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
