A former eyesore in Bellport has been transformed into one of the latest places where locals can get themselves a mocha latte. Earlier this month, officials attended the grand opening ribbon cutting for the Dunkin’ Drive Thru at 1669 Montauk Highway at the corner of Michigan Avenue.
This new Dunkin’ Drive Thru is another example of the economic redevelopment happening along Montauk Highway in Bellport.
In an article on GreaterPatchogue, co-owner Tanya Bathija spoke about her entrepreneurial journey and what she learned in her family business as a Dunkin Donuts franchisee.
In a press release, Brookhaven Town Councilman Michael Loguercio cited the new business as “another example of the economic redevelopment in Bellport.”

“This site had been an eyesore in the community for some time,” he said. “I am happy that we are working with this business to provide jobs to local residents and continuing to build on the revitalization of this corridor."
