The original Toast in Port Jefferson is about to make a big move - uptown. The first of four Toast Coffeehouses now on Long Island, the cozy little spot on East Main Street in the village has outgrown its roots.

According to a story in GreaterPortJefferson, owner Terry Scarlatos cited the limited seating and parking in downtown Port Jefferson as reasons why he is choosing to make the move. He plans to open by late May or early June.

The new location is much larger and actually located south on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station. It was most recently Mr. P’s Southern Skillet and before that it was LI Pour House. The site has a history of changing hands quickly over the last few years with no entity really able to stick it out.

We will update on news of the grand opening when it becomes available.
