Two Men Wanted for Robbing Cabbie in Roosevelt

Roosevelt, NY - April 25th, 2014 - First Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in Roosevelt on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1:23 A.M.

According to detectives, a male victim, 55, while working as a taxi driver for All Island Taxi, was dispatched to Willow Ave./Ingram Ave. to pick up a fare. Upon arrival, two male subjects entered the vehicle, and were transported to Pennsylvania Ave./W. Roosevelt Ave.  Once at the location, the subjects put a small black handgun to the victims head and demanded the victim give them everything.  The victim handed over cash, his bracelet, wallet and cell phone.  The subjects then fled on foot eastbound on Nassau Rd.

No injuries were reported.

Both subjects are described as male blacks.  Subject #1 is 19-20 years of age, 5’6” tall, thin build, dark complexion, wearing a black doo rag and green winter jacket.  Subject #2 was wearing a black hood.  No further description is available.
