Town of Brookhaven Councilwoman Jane Bonner and Councilman Neil Manzella recently recognized Frank Rivera, as a dedicated advocate and sarcoidosis patient, for his exceptional efforts in raising awareness about this rare inflammatory disease. 
 
Bonner, representing Brookhaven Town’s 2nd District said, “Through his organization, Sarcoidosis of Long Island, Mr. Rivera has provided vital resources, united the community, and worked with officials to promote research, healthcare equity, and supportive legislation.”
 
Mr. Rivera’s leadership has inspired collaboration among patients, caregivers, and researchers, especially during Sarcoidosis Awareness Month each April. The Town commends Mr. Rivera for his resilience and the hope he brings to countless lives.
