Wantagh High School Evaculated After Threatening Message Found On Bathroom Wall

Seventh Squad detectives are investigating the threat of a public safety device that occurred in Wantagh on May 1, 2014 at 9:26 a.m.

Wantagh, NY - May 1st, 2014 - Seventh Squad detectives are investigating the threat of a public safety device that occurred in Wantagh on May 1, 2014 at 9:26 a.m.

According to detectives, the principal of Wantagh High School was notified by students of a specific threat written in a men’s bathroom on the first floor.  At 10:00 a.m. both the high school and middle were evacuated while a thorough search was conducted.  At 1:15 p.m. the search was completed and the school was reopened and students re-entered.  The investigation is ongoing.
