Officials: Two Men Busted Planting Skimming Machines on Multiple Nassau County Credit Card Terminals

The First Squad reports the arrests of two individuals for an incident that occurred in Nassau County on May 2, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.
 
According to Detectives, an investigation was conducted that led to the arrest of Marius Adrian Dobre, 27, a non-resident from Romania and Paul Mihaita Tudor, 30, of 6071 Fresh Pond Road, Ridgewood. Both defendants placed skimming devices on the credit card terminals at multiple grocery stores. Detectives report that all the devices were recovered before any information could be stolen. 
 
Defendant Dobre is charged with Unlawful Possession Skimming Device 2nd degree, Scheme to Defraud 1st degree and (14) counts of Criminal Possession Forged Instrument 2nd degree. Defendant Tudor is charged with (2) counts of Unlawful Possession Skimming Device 2nd degree and (2) counts of Scheme to Defraud 1st degree. Defendants will be arraigned on Friday, May 3, 2024 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
