The long-planned Birdie Bar has finally opened in Northport, taking over the spot that used to be Seven Quarts Tavern on Fort Salonga Road.

Sporting itself as a neighborhood restaurant and cocktail bar, the interior is upscale and refined with leather booths, plaid and paneled walls adorned with framed photos of golfers, the place has a distinguished feel with a classic kind of vibe.

They serve up a refined American bar and grill menu by chef Antonio Guillen, formerly of Smithtown’s H2O. Birdie Bar is owned by Louis Selvaggio Jr. and his family, known for Robke’s of Northport.

On Yelp, Kristyn M gave the new restaurant five stars.

“So excited about this new opening,” she wrote. “The design of the space is gorgeous and welcoming, the food was incredible, and our waitress was great. One of our favorites of the night was the grilled caesar - it is a must order. The truffle fries and the burger are also standouts… Can't wait to go back and try more things off the menu!”

Brian N agreed.

“Excellent food, drinks and service,” he said. “This restaurant is a welcome addition to Northport. We will for sure be back!”
