Dix Hills, NY - The Art League of Long Island is proud to announce that it has been awarded Capital Projects funding for Fiscal Year 2023, which is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) with support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. The grant, in the amount of $25,000, will be used to replace one of the 10 ton HVAC units of the organization's facility, which heats and cools the Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery. The Art League is working with Diamond Comfort Systems of Setauket, NY for this installation.

The Art League of Long Island is a nonprofit arts organization that provides a platform for emerging artists to expand their skills, showcase their work and engage with the community. The new HVAC system will ensure a comfortable environment for artists, visitors, and staff, while also reducing energy consumption and lowering operating costs. They are thrilled to receive this grant from NYSCA. The new HVAC unit will greatly improve the functionality and sustainability of the facility, and will enable it to continue to provide high-quality programming for the community.

The Capital Projects funding program supports the renovation, construction, and acquisition of facilities for nonprofit arts organizations across New York State. The program aims to improve the infrastructure and equipment necessary for the creation and presentation of artistic works, and to ensure that these organizations can continue to serve their communities for years to come.

The Art League extends its sincere thanks to the New York State Council on the Arts for their support. This grant will have a significant impact on its organization and the Art League of Long Island is looking forward to continuing to promote the arts and culture in the community.

The contract term for the grant is from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2026. The Art League is committed to making the most of this opportunity, and to continuing to foster a vibrant and healthy arts community in New York State.
