Shoreham-Wading River, NY, May 6th, 2013 – In support of Hope Children’s Fund, Legislator Sarah Anker joined more than 100 runners at the 9^th Annual Kenya/USA Bi-Continental 5K Run at Shoreham Wading River High School on Sunday, April 28. 

“I commend Hope Children’s Fund for their tireless work in helping to provide support for the children of Kenya,” said Legislator Anker.  “It is so inspiring to see young people dedicated to helping children who live in a region where food, shelter and basic needs are so desperately needed.”

Students and volunteers of the Shoreham-Wading River High School Global Awareness Club travel once a year to Kenya with donations for the Jerusa Mwararia Hope Children's Home in Meru, Kenya.
