Port Jefferson, NY - May 6th, 2014 - Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc. presents the 15th annual Hounds on the Sound 3K Walk and Dog Adoption Event, which will take place June 8 at Memorial Park (off Route 25A and just west of the Port Jefferson Ferry) in downtown Port Jefferson from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to raise money for the orphaned animals at Save-A-Pet.
The day will be filled with live music courtesy of Act1Entertainment.net, food, vendors, contests, raffles and prizes. In addition, there will be companion animals for adoption from Save-A-Pet, in hopes that they will find a loving family to take them into their home.
Registration is $30 and includes a free T-shirt and gift bag. Those who raise $200 or more in pledges will receive a special Save-A-Pet hoodie. To create a profile for your pet and collect pledges for the Hounds on the Sound walk online with PayPal, or to download a pledge form, participants can log in at saveapetanimalrescue.org.
“We are getting excited as we prepare for our annual 3K walk, with all proceeds going to homeless pets,” said Dori Scofield, Founder/President, Save-A-Pet. “Walkers can also create profiles and join a special online community, in which they share their love for animals.”
Vendor booths are also available, but spacing is limited. For more information, or to donate or become a vendor, visit www.saveapetanimalrescue.org. For more information on Save-A-Pet, call (631) 473-6333, or visit www.saveapetli.net.
