William Floyd High School Student Musicians Shine at Colonial Williamsburg Heritage Festival
Mastic Beach, NY - May 6, 2016 - William Floyd High School student musicians recently competed in the Williamsburg Heritage Festival in Williamsburg, Virginia, against 21 other schools from the east coast. Students had the opportunity to perform for nationally acclaimed judges, participate in workshops and more. They even had the opportunity to explore the history of Colonial Williamsburg and unwind a bit at Busch Gardens. As a result of their outstanding performances, the Soundsations and the Select Choir were chosen to perform at Carnegie Hall next spring. Congratulations to the students and their teachers Michael Cordaro, Barbara D’Orio, Donia Rivera and Christopher Shaughnessy.
