Bay Shore Man Fired Handgun During Domestic Dispute, Officials Report

Suffolk County Police arrested a Bay Shore man for firing a handgun during a domestic dispute at his residence.
 
Third Precinct officers responded to a 911 report of shots fired at a residence on Center Ave. Following an investigation, Third Squad detectives determined that Jaqunne Brewster, a resident of the home, fired several rounds from a handgun during a dispute with a family member. There were no injuries.
 
Brewster, 23, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm 2nd Degree and Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree. Brewster was held overnight at the Third Precinct and was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
