Cops: Man Busted for DWI After Driving Through Medford Construction Zone

Suffolk County Police arrested a Hampton Bays man for driving while intoxicated after he drove through a construction zone on the Long Island Expressway on Monday, May 6.
 
Michael Pelosi was driving a 2015 Nissan Frontier westbound on the Long Island Expressway, east of Exit 64 in Medford, when his vehicle slid through a coned off work zone and onto the grass at 3:20 p.m.
 
Highway patrol officers charged Pelosi, 48, with Driving While Intoxicated. Pelosi was also issued a summons for Failure to Maintain Lane.
 
He was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on May 7.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
