Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly announced that a Manorville man was sentenced today to four and a half years in prison and eight years post-release supervision for sending sexually graphic text messages, including a graphic sexual image, to a teenager in Wantagh in January 2022.
Andrew Quattrone, 41, of Manorville, pleaded guilty before Judge Robert McDonald on November 6, 2023, to Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree (a D felony); Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree as a Sexually Motivated Felony (a D felony); Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the Second Degree (an E felony); and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (an A misdemeanor). Quattrone was sentenced today to four and a half years in prison and eight years post-release supervision. A stay away order of protection was issued on behalf of the teenage victim. Quattrone will also be required to register as a sex offender.
NCDA recommended a sentence of seven years in prison and 15 years post-release supervision.
“Andrew Quattrone sent sexually charged, obscene late-night messages to a sixteen-year-old victim and drove the following day to meet her in person,” said DA Donnelly. “When the victim showed up with a pair of male friends, Quattrone fled. He could not, however, evade prosecution and will now spend years in prison for his sickening conduct. NCDA will always protect our children from sexual predators, online or otherwise, and ensure those who use technology to prey on our youth are punished.”
DA Donnelly said that, on January 20, 2022, at approximately 11:48 p.m. a 16-year-old female from Wantagh received a text message from the defendant to her cell phone with a graphic sexual image. Quattrone continued to send sexually explicit messages to the victim and agreed to meet with her the following day, January 21, 2022.
Quattrone met with the victim that evening and asked her to get into his vehicle. The victim approached Quattrone’s vehicle with two friends and the defendant fled the scene.
Quattrone was arrested in Bayshore by members of the Nassau County Police Department’s Eighth Precinct Squad on January 22, 2022.
Quattrone has a pending case with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in which he pleaded guilty on January 24, 2023, to Criminal Solicitation in the Third Degree (an E felony) and awaits sentencing.
The NCDA’s case is being prosecuted by Pharmaceutical Diversion & Cybercrimes Unit Chief Melissa Scannell. The defendant is represented by Jeffrey Groder, Esq.
