Three Suspects in Police Custody in Connection with Numerous Nassau County Vehicle Break-Ins, Theft of Property

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of three males for multiple Larcenies that occurred throughout Nassau County from February 16, 2024 to May 9, 2024.
 
According to Burglary Pattern Squad Detectives, Defendant John William Murillo Herrera, 51, of 93-04 50th Avenue, Elmhurst, Defendant Carlos Julio Velandia Garcia, 52, undomiciled, and Defendant Andres Perez Anzures, 46, of 193 Bay 23rd Street, Brooklyn, were observed breaking into numerous vehicles and removing US currency after the victims went to the bank and withdrew money.
 
After an extensive investigation, Detectives located the subjects and placed them under arrest without further incident.
 
Defendants John William Murillo Herrera and Defendant Carlos Julio Velandia Garcia are both charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, Petit Larceny, two counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree, and Criminal Mischief 3rd degree. Defendant Herrera also has an outstanding bench warrant from New Jersey. Defendant Andres Perez Anzures is charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd degree.
 
They were arraigned on Friday, May 10, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
