With a focus on healthy dishes, Jardin Cafe has opened in Patchogue at 90 East Main Street in the space that used to be NOLE café. According to an article in The Long Island Advance, the village gave permission for the owner to open back in October and to put up a new sign and awning.

“The outdoor seating area will also be maintained, with about 16 seats and possible hanging lights,” the paper reported. “About 20 staff members will be hired including two to three chefs.”

On Instagram the restaurant describes itself as a healthy eatery serving wine and gluten-free and vegan options.

Jardin Cafe owner Blayker Lopez is also the owner of Don Quijote in Miller Place, which opened in 2002 and Patchogue which began serving in 2015.

The menu includes healthy salads like the Jardín Salad, made of baby arugula, baby spinach, GF fried goat cheese, pomegranate, granny smith apples, pecans, sweet potato, quinoa and balsamic glaze ($11.99) or the bowl selections including a Smoked Salmon Bowl with organic smoked salmon, brown rice, radishes, wild rice, mango, avocado, seaweed salad, edamame, pickled onions and miso ginger dressing ($16.99).
