Mineola, NY - May 13, 2014 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced that in recognition of International Children’s Day, Nassau County will be hosting a free Children’s Day for Hurricane Sandy affected children on Sunday, June 1st from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building, located at 1550 Franklin Avenue in Mineola.
 
Bring your children to a day of fun activities and live performances. Live performances are presented by HagenWorld Champion Irish Step Dancers, Venettes Cultural Workshop, and Making Books Sing Presents “FRIDA” – an interactive bilingual musical of Frida Kahlo, a young girl’s incredible journey. Activities such as LEGO spin artand remote control robot demonstration, RVC Lanes, Balloon Twisters and a Birds of Prey exhibit ensure a fun-filled day for children of all ages.
 
Children’s Day is sponsored by: LDI, Molloy College, Oceanville Mason Supply, RVC Lanes and Entertainment Unlimited by Ted Fass.
