Two cousins from Boston are making their way on a 220-mile run from Boston across Long Island to the 9/11 Memorial in New York City to raise money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Tanner Kern and Jordan Tucker started their journey on Sunday and are set to arrive on Long Island via the Orient Point Ferry on Wednesday, May 14th, after running from Boston and through Connecticut.
They are available for interviews at any point along their route as they complete roughly 30 miles daily to reach Ground Zero on Saturday, May 18th.
In 2020 the duo, hit the streets during the global COVID-19 Pandemic, running 260 miles from Canada to Connecticut to raise $15,000 for a Connecticut food bank
For this run the cousins set a goal of $20,000 to support Tunnel to Towers on its mission to provide mortgage-free homes for the families of fallen first responders, Gold Star families, and catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
“America is the greatest country in the world, because of the men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe. Tunnel to Towers ensures our military and first responders are taken care of when tragedy strikes. We want to do our part to help the people who answer our calls for help every day,” said Tanner Kern.
Tanner and Jordan are available to speak each day of their run about this physical challenge to benefit Tunnel to Towers and support America’s heroes.
