Police Seeking Postal Thief that Broke into Manhasset USPS Mailbox Before Fleeing in BMW

The Sixth Squad reports the details of a Grand Larceny that occurred on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 4:31 a.m. in Manhasset.
 
According to detectives, an unknown subject was outside of the United States Postal Service located at 28 Maple Place and began removing mail from a mailbox. The subject then entered the passenger-side of a Grey BMW sedan operated by a second unknown subject before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
 
The first subject is described as an unknown male wearing a mask, gloves and a black Nike tracksuit.
 
The second subject’s description is unknown.
 
Detectives request anyone with information regarding the above incident is to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911.  All callers will remain anonymous.
