Maker Faire Long Island is called “The Greatest Show and Tell on Earth.” Fitting that the local version of the famed Maker Faire would be set in Port Jefferson, known to have been a second home to the iconic American showman P.T. Barnum.

Last year, over 90 Makers and 2,000 participants of all ages experienced innovative robots, kinetic and interactive art, fire sculptures, explored the ocean through virtual reality and many more cutting edge creative experiences through hands-on, minds-on exhibits and performances at the Long Island Explorium and the neighboring Village Center and Harborfront Park, all in Port Jefferson.

This year’s event promises more of the same.

Makers who will exhibit this year include fiber artists, screen printers, The Royal Trumpets, Saber Guild Endor Temple, FIRST Long Island Robotics, Mandalorian Mercs Costuming Club, Brookhaven National Laboratory, robotics teams from various schools, POP! Draw, and so many more!

There will be cosplayers, robots and fun for all.

The Faire will be open Saturday, June 8th, from 10am to 5pm. Click here to buy tickets to Maker Faire Long Island.
