A Greek-style restaurant called Blue Waters opened up recently in Bellmore and reviewers are raving about it. The little restaurant offers a cozy spot for your favorite Mediterranean dishes.
“New food, new chef, new everything,” said a person who answered the phone at Blue Waters recently.
The menu kicks off with soups and salads including an Avgolemono soup, a Greek chicken lemon soup ($8) and their Greek salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green peppers, olives and feta cheese topped with olive oil red wine ($13).
You can get Greek spreads like tzatziki, hummus, skordalia, spicy feta and a roasted eggplant dip for $5 each or four for $15.
Their specialties include mussels cooked with white wine dill and scallions garlic olive oil ($14), a grilled halloumi, a traditional Cypriot cheese with tomatoes and lemon ($14), and octopus grilled sashimi style ($20).
On the main dish menu they have branzino ($26), grilled lamb chops ($32), NY strip steak ($32) and a shrimp santorini ($25), among others. They also have a whole selection of kebabs and handhelds.
On Yelp, Alexandra K gave them five stars.

“Food is delicious,” she wrote. “Seafood pasta is highly recommended, scallops, shrimps, mussels etc cooked to perfection which isn’t easy. Big serving size and decent amount of seafood in pasta. We also had fish and chips that was absolutely delicious. Not to mention exceptional spreads and pita bread.
