Nassau County Legislator John Ferretti will join with dog advocates, the NSPCA, and community members to cut the ribbon on the new improvements to the dog run at Eisenhower Park on Tuesday, May 17th, at 5:15 PM.

The Eisenhower Park Dog Run has had a synthetic turf field to replace the depleted lawn areas, meant to allow continued recreation without creating muddy conditions.

The improvements also include concrete walkways, a gazebo, benches and a new chain link fence. New plantings have also been made to beautify the area, and provide privacy and noise reduction for the adjacent trail and homes along Salisbury Park Drive.

The Eisenhower Park dog run is located near intersection of Stewart Avenue and Salisbury Park Drive.
