SCPD Reports Two Skimming Devices Found at Ronkonkoma Gas Station
Ronkonkoma, NY - May 17, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Identity Theft Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the instillation of skimming devices that were discovered at a gas station in Ronkonkoma on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at approximately 8:15 a.m.
A maintenance technician was servicing two gas pumps at Gulf, located at 292 Ronkonkoma Ave., when he observed skimming devices inside two machines. Crime Scene Section officers responded and removed the skimming devices.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information or who may have used the gas pumps during the past month and believes they may have a victim is asked to contact Identity Theft Unit detectives at 631-852-6821.
