SCPD: Patchogue Smoke Shop Employee Arrested for Selling Flavored Vape Products

Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for selling flavored nicotine and vape products during a compliance check in Patchogue.
 
As part of the department’s "Operation Smoke Out," and numerous community complaints, Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted a compliance check at J Mart & Smoke Shop, located at 580n Route 112.
 
Muhammad Khan sold flavored nicotine vape products to an undercover police officer. Approximately 450 flavored vapes containing nicotine were seized.
 
Khan, 26, of Centereach, was charged with Sale of Flavored Vape Products, a public health law violation.
 
He was issued a Field Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
