Nassau County Executive Bruce A. Blakeman will join Uniondale High School officials, students, elected officials, coaches and members of the community to honor new UFC Bantamweight Champion, and Uniondale Native Aljamain Sterling with a motorcade and rally.

The County Executive will proclaim May 23rd “Aljamain Sterling Day” in Nassau County

 

After a 13-month absence from the sport,  32-year-old Nassau resident Aljamain Sterling recently made a triumphant return against rival Petr Yan in their bantamweight unification title fight.

 

Residents are encouraged to line the streets for the motorcade and join at the High School for the rally.
