New Cassel Domestic Disturbance Escalates When 15-Year-Old Assaults Adult with Television Set, According to Police
The Third Squad reports the arrest of a male juvenile for an incident that occurred on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 6:55 pm in New Cassel.
According to Detectives, Officers responded for a verbal argument between a juvenile, 15, and a male, 56, at their New Cassel residence. Upon Officers arrival the argument escalated and the male juvenile threw a television at the male victim causing officers to intervene. An officer sustained a substantial injury to his hand and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. The juvenile was arrested without incident. No other injuries were reported.
The juvenile is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Attempted Assault 2nd Degree and Attempted Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, May 20, 2024 in the Youth Part of First District Court.
