Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Motor Vehicle Crash

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Wyandanch.

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Wyandanch today.

Kwaisi McCorvey was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on Mount Avenue when he attempted to make a left turn onto Lake Drive and struck a crossing pedestrian at approximately 1:30  p.m.

The victim, Casseus Clesca, 74, of Wyandanch, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries. McCorvey, 19, of Wyandanch was not injured and he was ticketed for driving with a suspended license.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
