Suffolk PD Seeking Suspect Responsible for Robbing Lindenhurst Apple Bank

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Lindenhurst on Friday, May 24.
 
A man entered Apple Bank for Savings, located at 151 East Sunrise Highway, at 4:05 p.m. He approached the teller and presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the demand and gave him cash from the drawer. The man fled on foot southbound on N. Indiana Avenue.  
 
The man was described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall with a medium build and thick brown beard. He was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, baseball cap and sunglasses.
 
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
