Woman Selling Smartphone Paid with Fake Currency, Nassau Police Report

The Fifth Squad reports the details of a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in Elmont.
 
According to detectives, a 27 year old female victim arranged to sell her cell phone to an unknown male. The victim met the male in the vicinity of Murray Hill Street. When the subject paid the victim for the cell phone, she believed the bills to be fake and asked for the phone back. The subject pushed her and entered a dark 4-door sedan occupied by two unknown black males. The subjects fled the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.
 
The subject who was purchasing the phone is described as a male black, approximately 5’9” tall, 140 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded shirt and dark jeans.
