Light the Way 5K Run/Walk to Be Held at Christopher Morley Park
Roslyn, NY - June 1, 2016 - Light for Orphans is an international child development organization dedicated to alleviating the suffering of orphans and vulnerable children in Egypt, by providing support for their physical, emotional, psychological, and mental well-being.
This inaugural 5K event is to raise financial support for this vulnerable population, as well as raise awareness to their plight, while participating in a fun filled athletic event to build unity.
The race is to be held on Saturday, June 11 at Christopher Morley Park in Roslyn. The entry fee is $25 and will go to the support of Light for Orphans.
Registration is due by June 10, and check in will be held on June 10 as well, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at St. Mary & St. Antonios Coptic Orthodox Church. The church is located at 62-54 60th Place in Ridgewood.
The race itself will run from 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM at Christopher Morley Park–500 Searington Road, Roslyn.
