Mastic Beach, NY - June 2, 2017 - William Floyd High School Business Academy student Lexi Willets placed first in the Client Services category at the New York State Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competition held this past April. This victory qualified Lexi, a senior, for the FBLA National Competition in Anaheim, CA, in late June, in which she will face off against the best FBLA students in the nation.

During the state competition, Lexi was tasked with resolving a customer issue on a specific scenario within a 10-15 timeframe of reading the case and coming up with a solution.

“The judges at the state level commended Lexi on her ability to take control of the room and resolve the issues presented in the most believable manner,” said Lee Cillo, WFHS Business teacher and FBLA co-advisor. “She's a natural problem solver.”
