Man and Woman Busted by Nassau Police After Robbing New Hyde Park Bank at Gunpoint

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest a Huntington Station man and a Rocky Point woman for a Robbery that occurred in North New Hyde Park.
 
According to Robbery Squad Detectives a male black, wearing a face mask entered the TD Bank located at 110 Hillside Avenue. The subject displayed a handgun and announced a robbery was taking place and demanded money from a teller. The subject pointed the handgun at the teller and the teller complied with his demand. The subject then fled the bank eastbound on Hillside Avenue to an awaiting silver Hyundai Accent being operated by a female white subject. Officers responded to the area and the subject vehicle was located at New Hyde Park Road and Lawrence Street. 
 
The male subject, David Freeland, was placed under arrest. The female subject, Stephanie Boehringer, was ordered out of the vehicle and placed in handcuffs and arrested by a Nassau County Police Recruit, with the assistance of his Field Training Officer. The Police Recruit is due to graduate the academy in the near future.
 
The defendant, David Freeland, is charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st Degree. The defendant, Stephanie Boehringer, is charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st Degree. Both defendants were arraigned at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
